  • Guide trips to exotic dive destinations.

  • Expand your own skills and the courses you can teach by becoming a Specialty Instructor, working up to become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), IDC Staff Instructor, or Master Instructor.

PADI INSTRUCTOR EXAMINATION (IE)

The PADI Instructor Examination is a 2.5-day program during which the Examiners evaluate candidates' readiness against a set of objective evaluation criteria.

The good news is that you will have the same type of assignments at the IE you had during your IDC! You will also have to sit two written exams on dive theory and standards. By this time you will be able to answer these questionsin your sleep.

During our IDC we will provide a thorough briefing on how the IE is organized and exactly what scores you will have to achieve to be successful. We will also assist you with the logistics during the IE, including transports, teaching aids etc.

Despite the testing environment most candidates have fond memories of their IE and leave with a strong sense of being part of a global tribe of instructors.

The written part of the IE can be taken in many different languages. Please let us know if you wish to take your written exams in your own language as soon as possible, orat the beginning of your IDC at the latest, so we can make the necessary arrangements for you. We can provide French and English translation for the rest of the exam. You can also bring your own translator if you feel you need one.
